How to Lead a Small Group Using “Exploring Ezekiel” by Amir Tsarfati

Exploring Ezekiel Book and Workbook
by Amir Tsarfati and Dr. Rick Yohn

I had a reader ask, in a comment,
how I would use this pair in a small group Bible study.
I decided you deserved to see my answer. So here you go!

My answer is assuming you purchased at least one copy of the workbook.

If I were doing the study…

Week 1 would be introducing the material.

I would either read (or have a few people read) the introduction of Exploring Ezekiel: “Who Is This God?”

Then we’d discuss what we’ve just read. I’d suggest the leader read it ahead of time to come up with prompts in case no one jumps in with their thoughts right away. (normal)

In the second hour, or at least the last half hour, I’d head over to the workbook and really look at “How to Use This Workbook.”

It lays out a study path that many/most may not be familiar with, so it would be good to consider going over it, helping everyone understand it, and then perhaps practice applying this technique to a familiar passage of Scripture.

Ideally, everyone bought both the book and workbook. If this is the case, I’d suggest having everyone spend each week reading the chapter in Exploring Ezekiel and working in the corresponding chapter in the workbook.

Then, when you come back the next week, you have two hours in which you can discuss everyone’s thoughts and conclusions in depth. This is one of the most powerful aspects of group Bible study, because you never know when something someone else says will turn on a neon sign for you.

And, although you do want to keep things running properly and under control, don’t be surprised when you encounter the occasional rabbit trail. I’d suggest you be flexible enough that you can judiciously explore at least a little ways down those trails as you feel the Spirit lead you.

I’m excited for you and your friends!

If you decide to have a Bible study with these books,
I’m excited for you too! And I’d love to hear how it goes!

Exploring Ezekiel by Amir Tsarfati

My Current Read

Amir Tsarfati’s Exploring Ezekiel just released and if you are at all interested in understanding that Old Testament book I HIGHLY recommend you get this one. (Given how much of its prophecy applies to today…)

Amir follows the same format with Exploring Ezekiel that he did with Revealing Revelation and Discovering Daniel. He walks through the book of Ezekiel in a straight line from beginning to end, drawing in other scriptures and references as appropriate. He also shares pertinent history, which is a big help.

For those who aren’t familiar with Amir, he is a Christian Jew who lives in Israel and is the head of Behold Israel. He has a firm grasp on End Time prophecy specifically as well as the Scriptures in general. I without hesitation recommend all of his books, even those I’ve not read. (For instance, he has a series of thrillers, and I don’t do that kind of stress. 😆)

This is the first time I’ve purchased the associated workbook and I can see I’ve been missing out. I’m only on lesson 2 and am thoroughly enjoying this excellent Bible study. It parallels Exploring Ezekiel, taking you deeper as you ask and answer questions about what you’re seeing, what it means, which other scriptures support what is said, and how the scriptures you’re studying affect your life.

Amir Tsarfati’s Biblical Case for Israel: My Take

Given the global tension regarding Israel,
Amir Tsarfati’s new book couldn’t be more timely.

I have questions…

Do you believe the church replaced Israel in God’s plan?
Do you believe Israel shouldn’t even exist?
Do you believe Israel is God’s chosen nation?

Regardless of your answers, The Israel Decree may be just the book you need – even if you’d rather not risk being swayed in your thinking.

I don’t generally review books I’ve not finished, and I’m only about 2/3 of the way through this one. However, I’ve studied the topic before and can confirm that everything I’ve read so far is accurate and comes with a depth and clarity that can’t be denied. In fact, I’m so impressed with this book that I’ve already ordered several copies personally.

The Israel Decree’s subtitle is “Understanding God’s Unbreakable Covenant with His People and Their Land,” and understanding is exactly what it provides. In less than 120 pages, Amir Tsarfati answers every challenge that has been offered against Israel’s right to exist as a nation.

Tsarfati tackles every challenge head-on, whether it regards modern politics or ancient prophecy. His arguments are meticulously documented and scholarly, but highly readable; you are left with the impression that he’s speaking to you personally.

If you have a question about Israel’s relationship with God and her right to exist as a modern-day nation, I can almost guarantee he answers it here.

Will those who oppose Israel take time to read it with an open heart? I can only hope.

God told Abraham, regarding his descendants, “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3)

Those verses alone are enough for me to support Israel, but they just scratch the surface.

Whether you lean toward replacement theology, question Israel’s right to exist, or simply want to deepen your understanding of God’s covenant with His chosen people, this short book will challenge and equip you.

Pick up a copy of The Israel Decree today and come away with a greater understanding of and appreciation for God’s unbreakable promises.

Lets Talk About the Jews

I haven’t talked much about October 7 and the mass insanity that has flooded the world since that day, but I’ve done a lot of watching, praying, and hurting for Israel and the Jews around the world as well as those I know personally. Even now, I’m hesitant to start this post because there is so much on my heart that I’m concerned it’s all going to spill out in a jumbled mess of words and emotions.

First, to make myself clear,
I fully support Israel in this war and in general.
If you believe in replacement theology,
you and I are not on the same page.

Here are some of the reasons why:

Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Psalm 94:24: ” For the LORD will not cast off His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance.”

Psalm 122:6: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.”

Ezekiel 37:21: “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;”‘”

Zechariah 12:9: “It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”

Bottom Line: If God were to change His mind about the covenant He made with Israel, He would immediately become a God you couldn’t trust not to change his mind about you. It’s ridiculous to even think about God in the same way as you would a cheating husband. You know what I mean: The other woman is just sure he’d never cheat on her, but if he cheated once… No. That’s not my God.

So, again, I have a heart for Jews, those I know and those I don’t, and for the nation of Israel, so seeing her vilified is beyond painful. I can’t even fully express how the rampant Anti-semitism hurts. How a world of people can choose to utterly ignore the reality of what happened on October 7th and what is being revealed in Gaza in favor of the carefully orchestrated…

No, I can’t even go there. I simply cannot comprehend the insanity.

If all you listen to is regular media and celebrities, you may think I’m nuts. If this is the case, I challenge you to download the Telegram app, subscribe to Amir Tsarfati’s channel, and pay attention to what he shares. I actually encourage everyone to do this. He’s a Messianic Jew living in Israel. He was a Major in the IDF, so he understands military campaigns, and he presents information in a way that makes sense. Just make sure you subscribe to his real channel, not one of the endless list of fakes. You can see in this picture that he has over 500,000 subscribers, so that’s the Amir Tsarfati you’re looking for.

Amir is someone I’ve trusted for years. He’s also an expert in End Times Prophecy and has several excellent books, both non-fiction and fiction, that are well worth checking out.

Ok, I’m determined to control my potential rambling, so I’ll say one more thing.

This is a spiritual war.

I’m not talking about the war in Gaza right now. I’m talking about the devil’s war on Jews everywhere. He hates the people God called His own, and we’re seeing that hatred exposed like never before, even in the church, which is heartbreaking. What’s happening isn’t natural; it’s supernatural, backed by demonic forces. What I’ve realized recently is that it’s also not limited to Jews who lives in “dangerous” areas.

True, I’ve spoken with a limited number of friends about this (talking about both practicing and Messianic Jews), but what I’m seeing leads me to believe that a full-blown demonic attack has been launched against all Jews everywhere. People who have been doing ok are suddenly fighting battles they never dreamed they would face, battle after battle in a seemingly never-ending cycle.

They need our prayers. Wherever they are, whoever they are, they all need our prayers.

I stand with Israel, and I stand with the Jews.
